Cruising for some fun???

One of the things everyone should try, at least once in their lifetime, is cruising!

My sisters and i had the pleasure of cruising from Sydney to New Zealand over New Year’s Eve Dec 2016.  With anti sea-sickness bands and a bag of meds- we boarded the ship and took every opportunity to have fun!

We checked out ALL areas of the ship….. right down to the kids area ( even though we were travelling sans children).

We played every game available, from bean bag tossing to being the winners of Family Feud.  We were so proud of the “plastic piece of ship’ that we won. lol

We sang at the piano bar, we played at the casino, we attended the art studio information afternoons to learn more about the artists whose work was on show and available to buy, we did the art classes available, we shopped in the ship’s stores, we played many many trivia games, we watched the comedy shows, and attended the nightly entertainment shows.

Only our eyes grew large as we checked out the never-ending supply of food at the restaurants.

(Funnily enough, I boarded the ship with both sisters who were unable to eat very much and neither really drank alcohol- so unlike most people’s experience of cruising -i.e. drinking and eating yourself into oblivion-  our experience was pure FUN. )

The only things we didn’t get around to doing whilst onboard were having spa treatments, doing dance lessons ( as i already have trophies for ballroom and latin dancing so it would be an unfair advantage for everyone else) and we never got the change to ride the water slides, play mini golf and using any of the fitness tracks or equipment was NEVER on the cards. Seriously, who really goes on holiday to exercise?

“Stretching …………..out” on a lounge chair would be the ONLY exercise i would actively pursue.

And when the ship finally met port, we enjoyed the day trips in Auckland, and we got to meet and hang out with some of the troupe from the shows whilst visiting Hobbiton ( the film set for the Lord of the Rings Trilogy) and  we were invited by them later to attended a special VIP Party that night.

Cruising is very affordable and so much fun!

i hope my walk down memory lane this time #inspireyournextholiday.
